Join the WCIT Medicine & Health Panel on Tuesday 10th February 2026 for an inspiring exploration of RNID’s vision for the future of hearing healthcare.
At this event, the Programme Lead (Lola Russell) will present insights from RNID’s Hearing Care Reimagined report and video, which brings together evidence, lived experience, and interdisciplinary expertise to propose a bold new vision for accessible and person-centred hearing care. The presentation will highlight the opportunities for how technology could transform hearing care for the millions affected by hearing loss.
Guest Speakers:
Sinead Donoghue (RNID Development Director)
Sinéad is RNID’s Director of Development, leading all fundraising and private-sector partnerships. She has built her career across charities including Alzheimer’s Society, English Heritage and the Motor Neurone Disease Association, heading teams in high-value fundraising and corporate partnerships. She is passionate about the transformative impact supporters can make.
Dr Alastair H. Moore (RNID Technology Lead)
Alastair is Technology Lead at RNID, the national charity supporting the 18 million people in the UK who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus. His responsibilities include keeping abreast of, communicating the benefits of, and influencing the development of cutting-edge hearing technology. This includes consultancy work with corporate partners, academic engagement, and user research. Alastair has an MEng degree in Electronic Engineering with Musical Technology Systems and a PhD in binaural sound, both from University of York, UK. He spent 3 years as a hardware design engineer for a consumer audio brand and over a decade as a postdoctoral researcher in acoustic signal processing at Imperial College London, UK. His published research includes topics such as sound scene awareness, binaural beamforming, robot audition and the use of virtual reality for speech-in-noise testing.
This event is hearing loop accessible. Hearing aid users can use the T-coil setting for clear sound.
