Medicine Bag - Lesson 2: The Travelling Medicine Bag

In Lesson 1 we talked a little about how we approach the land, how we speak to the land, how we say thank you to the land.

In Lesson 2 we are speaking a little more about what it is like to communicate with our medicine bag and what it carries, how we use a medicine bag more when we are on the road or travelling and how we can be supported with the pieces that travel with us to places and circumstances.

This class is a series of classes that enable you to know a little more about RELATIONSHIPS that we hold with ourself and with the living and breathing beings in our world that help us understand how to live as better human beings. It will invite you to knowing balance, patience, reciprocation and how to share these gifts with your wider community and weave together a more harmony and awareness in this life for yourself and what is around you.

As with all indigenous classes, your contributions in $$ for education and materials are also paid forward to the teachers and the land that provide this wisdom in reciprocation. I say thank you to my teachers for this gift of being able to give to you.

You will need a dedicated medicine bag to bring with you to this class (ie one that has not been used for any other purpose that can be the size of a small purse). You can make one yourself, or a bag that has been specially crafted for this class is available for purchase in three sizes $65 large skin, medium weave $45 and $25 small skin (additional cost to the class ticket). This can be brought at Creole Bazaar in Devonport during the weekend of 24 August or through heartearthdrum website.
