About this Event


Plants have been used by human beings as medicine for well over 60,000 years. The chemical compounds in plants remain the foundation of many medicines we use today. Join us for an overview of trees and plants in the Campus Arboretum that are well known for their medicinal properties. We will look at the science, traditional practices and current use of these plants--nature's medicine cabinet!







Tour starts at the University of Arizona Memorial Fountain, west of Old Main at 9:30 am and last 60-90 minutes. Campus visitor parking is available in campus parking garages for a fee. Please bring water and a hat.
