Come join us at Clary Sage Herbarium where local citizen mycologist, David Relyea will guide us through the fascinating world of medicinal mushrooms, offering practical knowledge on how to incorporate them into your life for maximum benefit. We’ll explore mushrooms like turkey tail, maitake, cordyceps, lion's mane, chaga, and reishi, each with its unique health benefits.

Some questions we’ll address in this workshop:

• How can you get the most out of medicinal mushrooms—what's the best way to prepare and consume them?

David will provide insights on how to make informed decisions when selecting mushroom supplements, helping us identify high-quality products and avoid industry pitfalls.

With 10 years of hands-on experience, including time spent working alongside well known mycologists, David is a great resource right here in our Alberta neighborhood. His work extends into teaching myco-permaculture and myco-remediation, where he uses local mushroom species to enhance soil health, protect ecosystems, and create self-sustaining mushroom landscapes. From cultivating Cordyceps militaris to crafting advanced mushroom spagyrics, David is our local expert on mushroom medicine.
