This course prepares students to become a certified medicar/driver attendant. Topics include federal and state regulations that govern non-emergency medical transportation, vehicle safety and operational issues, disability transport challenges, vehicle adaptive equipment and passenger wheelchair lock-down procedures. At the end of the course, students will sit for the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver/Attendant-Certification-D/A-01 examination. The fee for this course is $175. The class meets on two days from 8:30am-4:30pm, Thursday, April 25th and Friday, April 26th, 2024. Call 708 974 2110 to register for this course.
