Medical Reserve Corps July 2022 Meeting

This photo was taken at our June 16, 2021 meeting and represents a portion of the MRC volunteers that have been active in the Covid response and many other past events. At this July 13, 2022 meeting we will be focusing on a workshop by Dr. Ned Strauss, Talk Saves Lives, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Participants in this workshop will learn life-saving information and skills in response to the tragic regional, national, and global epidemic of deaths-by-suicide and suicide attempts. This heart-wrenching epidemic affects all age, race, geographic, and economic demographics and is increasing the fastest among young adults and children.

We also will be distributing new MRC polo and t-shirts to all registered MRC members that bring their MRC ID card to the meeting. We invitie all active medical and non-medical volunteers to register for this meeting and to bring a friend that is interested in learning more about the Medical Reserve Corps.

As of June 22, 2022, per CDC guidelines the COVID-19 community level is “High” in Galveston County. It is highly recommended to wear a mask indoors in public.
