MediaSoundHamburg is an international summer school for FilmMusic, GameMusic and SoundDesign that has taken place annually in Hamburg since 2011. For six days, national and international film composers, game musicians and sound designers meet international professionals and renowned experts. In various workshops, MasterClasses and the MSH Conference, the participants work on concrete projects and get new ideas for their artistic work. We support young talents from all over the world by awarding scholarships. Since 2011, we have awarded around 100 scholarships.We pay special attention to the promotion of women. Thus, the topic WOMEN IN AUDIO will be one of our focal points again this year.
With other attractive special events such as the YoungTalentAward Media Music, the MSH Conference, the AfricanNight and workshop discussions with directors and film composers, MediaSoundHamburg is also opening up its programme to an interested public.
The festival centre is the ibis Hotel Hamburg St. Pauli Messe plus various other locations.
MediaSoundHamburg ist eine internationale Sommerakademie für FilmMusic, GameMusic und SoundDesign, die seit 2011 jährlich in Hamburg stattfindet. Sechs Tage lang treffen nationale und internationale Filmkomponist*innen, Game Musiker*innen und Sound Designer*innen auf internationale Profis und renommierte Experten. In verschiedenen Workshops, MasterClasses und der MSH Conference arbeiten die Teilnehmer*innen an konkreten Projekten und bekommen neue Anregungen für ihr künstlerisches Schaffen. Mit der Vergabe von Stipendien fördern wir junge Talente aus der ganzen Welt. Seit 2011 haben wir rund 100 Stipendien vergeben.
Ein besonderes Augenmerk richten wir dabei auf die Förderung von Frauen. So wird auch in diesem Jahr wieder das Thema WOMEN IN AUDIO einer unserer Themenschwerpunkte sein.
Mit weiteren attraktiven Sonderveranstaltungen wie der Verleihung des YoungTalentAward Media Music, der MSH Conference, der AfricanNight und Werkstattgesprächen mit Regisseur*innen und Filmkomponist*innen öffnet MediaSoundHamburg ihr Angebot auch für ein interessiertes Publikum. Festivalzentrum ist das ibis Hotel Hamburg St. Pauli Messe sowie zahlreiche andere Locations.
