Nelson Historical Society - October 2025 Meeting
Guest speakers: Brian Ramsay and Ian Martyn
Brian Ramsay and Ian Martyn first met over 40 years ago while serving as Instructors at RNZAF Base Woodbourne. They then took different career paths and in 2013 caught up again in civilian life and set up the website, Medals Reunited New Zealand. Ian is the Founder, Director and website administrator. Brian is a medal mounter and between the two of them, they provide a free service returning military medals and memorabilia to families. Ian will share a couple of interesting stories about researching and returning over 860 military medal sets to families. Brian will talk about his hobby of mounting military medals, illustrated with photos.
