Medalist Concert Band at Lake Harriet Bandshell

This week at the Lake Harriet Bandshell we are hosting Medalist Concert Band. Since its founding, the Medalist Concert Band has given over 1,000 performances, many in partnership with high school and college bands. The Medalist season runs from September through July, averaging 16 concerts annually, including four as part of the Bloomington Center for the Arts Performance Series. Additional venues include schools, churches, and senior centers. During June and July, the band performs in parks across the Twin Cities. Since 1892, Music in the Parks has provided residents and families opportunities to gather and enjoy local music throughout the summer. Since its inception thousands of free concerts have taken place. Concerts are weekly and vary from classic rock, hip hop, international, funk and many more genres of music.
