This year Mecktoberfest will be located at the park to celebrate all the changes we have made, including the installation of the new playground!Where: Meck Pond Park (located in the center of Mecklenburg on 4559 McIntyre Rd AKA 4459 Co Rte 6)
When: October 11th, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
What to bring: CASH! and perhaps an extra lawn chair or blanket!
Please park at the Mecklenburg Volunteer Fire Hall located "a few doors down" at 4495 Co Rte 6 and take the hayride down to the park. If handicapped, park your vehicle at the park’s new parking lot.
Just as in prior years, we will have food, beer and wine, live music, FLX Helicopter rides, vendors, and children's activities. We are scaling down the vendors and games due to limited space at the park, and the games this year will be at no charge!
Please consider donating $5-10 per person so we can continue to make improvements to the park.
Event timeline:
11:00 AM – Party starts! Wine and beer start being served
11:30 AM – Chicken and Pork BBQ lunches served ’til gone
11:30 AM – Liamalone begins playing on the new stage pavilion!
2:00 PM – Playground ribbon cutting ceremony
2:30 PM – Richie and Friends playing on the new stage pavilion!
All day – free fun activities for kids and yard games for everyone
All day – FLX Helicopter rides at the Meck Fire Hall
All day – vendors set up for sales (bring cash)
5:00 PM – Party ends with a bonfire at Meck Fire Hall
We will have tables and chairs on site for you to enjoy your meal and beverages, but we strongly recommend folks bring additional chairs to enjoy the music – unless you want to get up and dance!!
