Measuring What Matters: Impact Measurement for Purpose-Driven Organisations
About this Event
Measuring impact is no longer only about reporting to funders: it is a powerful tool to clarify your strategy, strengthen decision-making, and better understand the real change your organisation creates.
This interactive masterclass will introduce participants to some of the most widely used impact frameworks, including the Theory of Change and the Five Dimensions of Impact, while exploring how to identify meaningful indicators that go beyond outputs and truly reflect outcomes and long-term impact.
Through practical examples and exercises, participants will learn how impact measurement can become both a learning and management tool to improve programs, communicate value more clearly, and drive more intentional impact.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPLORE
• The foundations of impact measurement and why it matters
• How to build a clear Theory of Change
• Introduction to the Five Dimensions of Impact (What, Who, How Much, Contribution, Risk)
• How to identify relevant outputs, outcomes, and impact indicators
• The difference between measuring for reporting vs measuring for learning and decision-making
• Practical examples from social enterprises, nonprofits, and impact-driven organisations
WHAT TO EXPECT AS AN ATTENDEE
Participants can expect a practical, engaging, and accessible session combining strategic thinking with hands-on exercises.
By the end of the masterclass, attendees will leave with a stronger understanding of how to structure and measure their impact, practical tools they can apply to their own organisation, and greater confidence in communicating their impact to funders, partners, and stakeholders.
