Measure, map, and model an imagined future community using the latest in high-tech surveying equipment – including drones, GPS, and laser measuring.Land Survey Camp is an exciting program created to introduce middle school students to the dynamic world of land surveying. This three-day program offers an immersive, project-based experience led by industry professionals and Dunwoody College faculty. Campers will take home with them a mini “Surveyor’s Tool Kit” including basic tools and a mini-drone they will build during the camp. Participants will explore ideas about property boundary lines, topography and creating maps for future design. Participants will be able to meet with college admissions to find out about all that Dunwoody has to offer too!
The camp takes place July 15 - 17, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily.
This camp is an initiative through Dunwoody College of Technology and the Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors.
