Meanwhile… Back at The Ranch show takes audiences on a musical journey through the south-western states of USA during America’s great swing era from the thirties to the fifties.When swing hit the south of USA it took the diverse music of the south-western states, and combined it with the hot new swing rhythms of the north creating a new genre called Western Swing.
Western Swing became a major hit with audiences of the south west, packing out huge dance halls everywhere. When you hear it you will understand why. In Western swing you will hear influences from traditional jazz songs, popular music, country and fiddle tunes and even gypsy jazz, all combined into a very entertaining blend – sometime referred to as Cowboy Jazz.
So whether you’re a swing fan, a lover of all things Western or just adore great old classic tunes you will love this show from Meanwhile Back At The Ranch. Tickets are $10 at the door.
