Meadow Plant Survey - The Paddock

We invite you to join us at the Paddock for our plant survey in 2023. Whether you are an expert or complete beginner this will be a chance to get outdoors and explore the wildlife on your doorstep.

What to expect:

- An introduction to a highlight plant species/ topic

- A guided survey of the meadow using quadrats

-The data collected will help us improve meadow habitats for wildflowers and wildlife on site.

- Book on to multiple sessions to gain a deeper understanding of seasonal cycles

Pre-booking is essential, book now to confirm a place.

Please be aware Eventbrite booking closes one day before each surveying event at 5pm.

You will be issued with a field recording sheet, species guide sheets, a clipboard and a pencil.

If you own further ID guides or books you are welcome to bring them along.

Individual surveys will run outdoors for about an hour, please be sure to check the weather/temperature and dress accordingly.

Under 18s:

All ages can join in the survey, the route is a little muddy but buggies are welcome!

If you want to volunteer and are 16-17 years old please ensure you get in touch with us at [email protected], as you will need a completed parent/ guardian consent form to join in. For everyone aged 15 and under they will also need a parent/guardian with them to attend.

COVID-Safe Measures:

Whilst social distancing and COVID-safe measures are no longer legally required, you are welcome to wear a mask if you would like to. Please consider others' wishes who may still want to social distance, and always wash hands before eating/drinking on TCV projects.

We will meet at the Paddock main entrance next to the 2x green office buildings on Ferry Lane, N17 9NG.
