🌉 Straight from the Bay Area, Me and My Uncle brings the music and spirit of the Grateful Dead to life!
For John Wheeler and Mark Harold, the Grateful Dead has been a lifelong passion. After meeting in Napa nearly 20 years ago and discovering their shared love for the music, they formed a band and began performing throughout the Bay Area.
Their musical journey has included performances with acclaimed bassist Tony Saunders, appearances with the tribute band Keystone Revisited, and the honor of performing at Jerry Garcia’s official birthday celebration in Sausalito. 🎶
Joining John and Mark are two outstanding Bay Area musicians: bassist and vocalist Tom Miller, who toured and recorded with Gregg Allman for 15 years, and longtime collaborator Steve Trovao on drums.
Together, the band delivers an authentic and heartfelt celebration of the songs, improvisation, and community that have made the Grateful Dead’s music timeless. ✨
🎵 Meet the Band
John Wheeler - Lead Guitar & Vocals
John has performed with Dick Dale and the Del Tones, Keystone Revisited, and Lady Bianca. He has composed music for cable television and appeared on jazz charts with Tony Saunders and The Noteworthy Band.
Mark Harold - Acoustic Guitar & Vocals
Originally from New Jersey, Mark has performed bluegrass, country, and Grateful Dead music throughout the Bay Area, including appearances at Nicasio Ranch and The Blue Note Napa.
Tom Miller - Bass Guitar & Vocals
A world class bassist and singer, Tom toured and recorded with Gregg Allman for 15 years. His credits also include Starship, Mickey Thomas, Eddie Money, and the Alameda All Stars.
Steve Trovao - Drums
A sought-after Bay Area drummer, Steve has performed with Tony Saunders, The Ronstadt Revolution, The Napa Blue Note house band, and many other notable artists.
