With all the twists, turns, trysts that fill soap opera worlds, you will

meet the actors, writers, producers of the show In the Flame of

Love.

Background for the story

The Flame of Love premiered in September 1979 as a 30 minute

live program on the CBS network. It starred Helen as Mary

Masters, a young housewife who loved her family and friends and

helped them through the triumphs and tragedies of their lives. The

show began to film their episodes in 1987 and is now broadcast in

hidef. The show enjoyed it highest ratings from 1979- 1999. Since

then, the ratings have slowly continued to decline and the network

has decided this will be the last year for the show if the ratings do

not go up significantly or it will be canceled. They have brought in

Ivan Phillips to become the new head writer for the show, if he

cant bring new life to the show, it will be canceled. Sometimes to

bring in new life to a show, a life may have to go…

Audiences will participate in solving the mystery.
