The Midwest Dota 2 League (MD2L) is hosting the Season 9 Playoffs and Grand Finals at the Peoria Civic Center 400 level Ballroom on Oct 2-3rd.What is the Midwest Dota 2 League? The Midwest Dota 2 League is an amateur league for players primarily in the US Midwest, but players have participated from all over the world. This season, 40 teams (200 players) have spent the past six months battling for the top 16 slots. On October 2nd and 3rd, these top teams will compete for the crown at the Peoria Civic Center.
What’s at stake? $2,000 prize pool
Why should I get excited? There isn’t currently any in- person league like the Midwest Dota 2 League in all of North America. Dota is the largest prize pool game in esports with The International this year having a $40 million dollar prize pool. Our tournament copies the professional format to bring that experience to your average Dota 2 player.

What about safety? We will be taking several steps to keep participants safe during the event including mask wearing and requiring proof of vaccination or proof of a negative covid test.
How can I get involved? Attending the LAN is completely free and we have plenty of room for spectators. People wishing to participate wouldn’t be able to play this event but can sign up for next season and should visit our website md2l.org or our discord (https://discord.gg/52rp2RMksG) for more information. We plan on hosting tournaments every 6 months. We are also looking for help on our production side, if you would like to be on a panel or co-cast with one of our official casters, please join our discord for more information.

Round 1: 9AM-12:30PM (BO3)
Round 2: 1:30-4PM (BO3)
Round 3: 5-8:30PM (BO3 UB/ 2 BO1’s LB)
Round 4: 8:30-10PM (BO1 LB only)
Oct 3rd: Round 4: 8:30AM-12PM (BO3, UB Finals+LB)
Round 5: 1PM-4:30PM (BO3, LB Finals)
Grand Finals: 5:30-8:30PM (BO3)
