2024 New Zealand Dirt Drag Championships 🤘We’re back for the 18th year running and we invite you to join us for another year of Dirt Drag action!
For your safety and to ensure another successful event, please ensure you read the information provided before you enter or attend this event.
The aim of the day is to find the fastest weapon in each class and then find out who the Ultimate Dirt Dragger for 2024 will be!
2 rounds of eliminator racing followed by class finals and then Ultimate Finals.
GCB Memorial Race to honour the life of our MD brother, Gareth ‘Gazza’ Blackwell.
Round of free track time per class throughout the day.
Skid Pad, you must enter your vehicle to participate in burning rubber time and you must clean up your rubber before leaving!

$60 entry per class ($40 Junior) – Max 1 vehicle per person per class, no cross entry of vehicles between 4WD & 2WD.

This year there will be no on the day entries to speed up sign on, entries are via online only!
Online entries open 7th August, strictly no on the day entries, this event sells out!
GCB MEMORIAL RACE
The GCB memorial race is to honour the life of our MD brother, Gareth ‘Gazza’ Blackwell. By entering this race, you are helping us to show & give our support to others who need it the most. All entry money for this race will go directly to charity & the MD club will match the amount dollar for dollar.
Extended Drag style race | Different to all other races
Online entry | $40 per entry | Bikes only | Capped at 40 entries | R16
There will be a separate briefing on the day.
PASSENGER INDEMNITY
For anyone wanting to be a passenger in an entered vehicle throughout the day, they must complete an indemnity form. You can add passengers to your online entry or complete the process on the day. $5.00 per passenger. Wrist labels must be worn and will be checked throughout the day.
SKID PAD
You must enter your vehicle to burn rubber and you will clean up your rubber before leaving! $20 per vehicle (if not already entered to race).

SIGN ON
7am – 9am
No late entries, you must be signed on prior to 9am for briefing at 9.15 sharp.
BRIEFING
All persons wishing to operate a Motor Vehicle at this event must attend the official briefing at 9.15am unless prior arrangements have been made with an MD official. NO BRIEFING NO RACING
PARKING
Parking is on farm land and you will be directed where to park by parking officials.
Pit parking is available for entrants only, first in first served.
OVERNIGHT CAMPING
NO ONE is permitted to stay overnight unless arrangements have been made with an MD official.
HELMETS & SEATBELTS
All persons racing and all passengers must wear a seatbelt.
All persons racing a Bike, Buggy, and open roofed vehicles must wear a helmet.
