MCYU presents: “Alice's Adventure in School?" What Alice in Wonderland Teaches us About School" by Dr. Emily Scherzinger
About this Event

Guest Lecturer: Dr. Emily Scherzinger.

This Month's Topic: What can the Mad Hatter and March Hare teach us about school? Together we will explore the silliness of nonsense literature, and what it tells us about making learning fun.

About our Guest Lecturer: Dr. Scherzinger is a graduate of McMaster University's PhD in English, where she studied nonsense literature, like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. She is currently working with the McMaster Children and Youth University to research the connections between success, lifelong learning, and confidence in youth.

Location: This lecture will take place in person on McMaster University's campus.

* Please note, we will no longer be offering the lectures over zoom. We will be filming the lectures and posting them on our website for those who are not able to make it to the event.
