McNasty Brass Band brings the Minneapolis sound to new territory by combining the spirit of New Orleans with elements of Prince, old school funk, and a splash of R&B. Since their debut EP release Southside Fridays in early 2015, McNasty Brass Band has continuously written music that push the limit of what a fully acoustic dance band can do. Their raw, organic brass sound makes the music so infectious. A reckless, ten-piece megazord of horns and drums, McNasty Brass Band can blow the walls off a house party, march down the streets of a parade, or own the stage with the confidence of a well-oiled groove machine.
McNasty Brass Band has been featured on ABC’s Shark Tank as well as BBC’s “Top Brass,” hosted by Australian Jazz Legend James Morrison. They have also made appearances at The Great American Brass Band Festival, Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Twin Cities Jazz Festival, and many more. Their latest release, “MNBB (Aura Vortex Records),” is available for streaming everywhere.
