About this Event
The Microbial Cell Systems (MCELLS) for Sustainable Living Research Excellence Cluster is a newly established GCRC cluster at The University of British Columbia. The MCELLS cluster aims to harness microbial communities to develop functional products and sustainable processes relevant to industries in British Columbia. Founding members of the cluster span many disciplines and departments. Cluster members include Prof. Susan Baldwin, Prof. Joseph Dahmen, Prof. Leonard Foster, Prof. Andrea Frommel, Prof. Steven Hallam (Cluster Lead), Prof. Tao Huan, Prof. Jaya Joshi, Prof. Maite Maldonado, Prof. Orlando Rojas, Prof. Sean Smukler, Prof. Qingshi Tu, and Prof. Chris Wood as well as their respective research groups.
The Symposium will focus on socialization and stimulating collaborative ideas between MCELLS research groups to kickstart our cluster summer activities. A buffet-style lunch will be provided.
