MCAC in the Pride Parade! (Ages 13-24)

Event Info:All Magic City Acceptance Center youth and young adults ages 13-24 are invited to join us and ride on our float as we participate in the 2023 Central Alabama Pride Parade Saturday, June 10th from 6:30-9:30!
ALL YOUTH MUST REGISTER IN ORDER TO BE ON THE FLOAT WITH US.
MANDATORY INFO, please read ALL DETAILS below:
•We cannot allow you on our parade float unless we have your completed registration by Friday, June 9th.

• Dress comfortably - it will be hot! Bring only what you need and can keep on your person. No large bags.

WHEN AND WHERE TO MEET:
• At Magic City Wellness Center (MCWC) which is conveniently located down the street from Magic City Acceptance Center (MCAC), right at the top of the parade route: 3220 5th Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35222
You may park at MCWC or at MCAC and walk across the street.
• You may begin arriving at 6:30 PM. Please arrive no later than 7:30 PM.
• Restrooms will be available inside MCWC. Once we are on the parade route, we cannot stop the float so go beforehand!
• If you or your family/friends plan to watch, the parade steps off around 8:00 PM and will travel down 7th Avenue south from 32nd street to Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd South. Map available here: https://www.centralalabamapride.org/parade
THE PARADE WILL END:
• Around 9:30. Your ride should be ready to pick you up then.
• As the parade ends, we will drive the float back to MCWC where parents/family/rides may pick you up
YOU MUST:
• Check in with MCAC staff Saturday evening as you arrive to check off our registration list, and collect your parade wristband.
• Have a ride to and from the parade. We are not responsible for transportation and cannot provide assistance.
YOU SHOULD:
• Bring water - it gets hot! And sunscreen!
• Eat beforehand or have snacks
• Wear comfy shoes - or less than comfy shoes if you plan to slay, you do you. Just think about it and plan!
