MB 5th: Five Years of Reading & Connecting

We are turning 5 years old this June and to celebrate it, we decided to throw a big (bigger than usual) event. We want to show how happy & grateful we are to continuously provide a platform and reading programes to support your reading journey.

We didn't want to just invite people to come to our event to have food and listen about our 5-year-journey, we wanted do what we always do -- get people to read, benefit from reading, and have a good time doing so -- but at a bigger scale than usual.

Our team, all volunteers, came together and decide to give you a 4-hour experience that includes:

The Death of Knowledge: Reviving Reading Culture and What Endures - A panel discussion between a book seller, book space researcher, and a primary school madrasah teacher on the changes they see in reading habits and the impact on knowledge.

The Living Library - Booths of ground up organisation that either aim at preserving a tradition/culture or to cultivate skills in the literary or arts field

The Book Club Taster - A downsized version of our usual book club sessions to let you have a taste of what it's like to attend a book club session. Reading materials will be provided and there will be facilitators to guide.

Get all this for free, you just need to show up with a positive open mind. But if you insist on giving us money to support, you can choose to pay for a ticket.

Also, spots are limited as we can only fit about 50 pax in the space and we've ordered food for 50pax only. So you know what to do la.
