Maz & The PhantasmsMaz and The Phantasms are an electrifying psych punk collective emerging from the post-pandemic ennui. Their big and bold extravagant sound has been filling underground venues and secret parties in Glasgow for quite some time. Upon their first studio single release and their sold out DIY warehouse gig/queer rave, they embark on a UK tour to galvanise some of their favourite alternative hang outs. Inspired by French Indie Pop, Krautrock noises, a healthy dose of vintage pastiche Americana and an explosive punk attitude, The Phantasms are cultivating their own sound with every new track and performance, putting forward a one-of-a-kind experience for audiences at every gig. Shipzy a.k.a. James Timmins is a high-performance performance artist from the post-industrial British Midlands. A former senior change management consultant and semi-professional endurance athlete, he is now bringing his incessant drive and growth mindset to the subterranean world of alternative music. His debut EP on Caravela Records deals with agonising nihilism of the post-truth age, and is heavily influenced by a recent near-death experience whilst e-biking in the Austrian Tyrol, and his subsequent immersion in the avant-garde literature of Timothy “4-Hour” Ferris. Join him on this cathartic journey, or in the immortal words of Martin Heidegger, “Get on your bikes and ride!”.
