MAYSUNS is an alternative rock band from Alexandria, VA. With inspiration from an eclectic range of artists such as Queens of the Stone Age, Jeff Buckley, and LCD Soundsystem, MAYSUNS has been writing original music since the band’s inception in 2018.
The band’s debut EP Game. was released in 2019 under the name Hanoi Ragmen. Their first full-length album, The Oldlight, was recorded at Bias Studios and released in 2022. The Oldlight won Best Rock Album at the 2023 Washington Area Music Awards (The Wammies); Foolhearted, included on the album, won Best Rock Song. MAYSUNS supported the album in 2023 and 2024 with a series of performances in DC, New York City, Atlanta, and more.
MAYSUNS returned in late 2024 with the releases of Silencer and Flatiron, the first in a set of slated releases over the next year.
The band’s lineup includes vocalist and rhythm guitarist Gabriel Harr, vocalist and lead guitarist Max Powell, vocalist and bassist Beck Moniz, drummer Nathan Argust, keyboardist Shaan Shuster, saxophonist Kostia Howard, and guitarist Dillon Miranda.

Fo Daniels combines the raw intensity of a rock and roll band with a singer-songwriter’s attention to lyrical and emotional detail. With a general disregard for trends and genre restriction, Daniels and his band blaze their own trail, quickly growing their diverse catalog of records- which contains a wide variety of influences but is united by the common themes of originality, heart, and rebel spirit. Their tenacious touring schedule has left audiences deeply inspired up and down the East Coast, spreading the word about a sound which can be best described as “pretty and gritty”.

Fo is a childhood nickname for Forrest.
