Mayor Lee Harris' Senior Prom, Presented by ShelbyCares

Come out and celebrate life while moving and grooving to all your favorite jams. Shelby County residents ages 60 and up are invited to register for the annual Senior Prom. This year’s Senior Prom will feature the Gary Goin Group, DJ Stan Bell, healthy food by Phillip Dewayne Catering, mocktails by Candy Bar, and more.  

Attire: Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite formal wear for this prom-themed celebration. 

About ShelbyCares: 

ShelbyCares is a collaboration between Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris’ Office of Innovation and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine. Through a combination of free health screenings, health coaching, educational resources, and community activities, the initiative is focused on reducing obesity, diabetes, and preventative heart conditions. The Senior Prom promotes physical activity and healthy living for senior citizens. The event began in 2019 as an opportunity for seniors to fellowship, dance, and experience healthy and delicious food.
