BEGINNER II Tango Skills, Musicality: - Ocho Cortado
- Getting In & Out of Ochos
- The Cross-Basic
- Counter-point Rhythms
In BEGINNER I we learned Navigation, Lead-Follow & Improvisation using the three basic rhythms of tango: Walks, Rhythms & Dramatic Pauses.
In BEGINNER II we study the next level of skills necessary for Intermediate Tango: Simple Left & Right turns, Ocho Cortado, Cross-system, In & Out of Ochos, and the Essential Cross Basic. Musically, this material adds the concept of Counter-Point Rhythm
Tom & Analii will be concentrating on this material on BOTH Tuesdays & Wednesdays. We offer a skills-based tango curriculum, emphasizing lead-follow, navigation. & musicality
