Join us for an otherworldly adventure at we watch the Port of Redwood City's Star Wars themed lighted drone event! On Saturday, May 4th, immerse yourself in the galaxy far, far away as drones light up the night sky in a spectacular display of Star Wars magic. May the 4th be with you as we celebrate this pun-tastic occasion!The evening kicks off with an unforgettable sunset tour aboard our research vessel, exploring the picturesque Redwood Creek. Departing from the Marine Science Institute pier at 7:30 pm, embark on a journey through the tranquil waters, soaking in the beauty of the setting sun.
Upon our return to the Port, we'll anchor down for what promises to be an epic viewing experience of the drone show. From 8:30 to 9:00 pm, witness iconic Star Wars characters and scenes come to life in a dazzling aerial spectacle.
Star Wars enthusiasts 5 and up, are welcome to join us for this cosmic event. Families with younglings under 5 are welcome to gather at the Port to view the event together.
Enjoy the festivities from the shore as the night sky comes alive with the magic of Star Wars.
Tickets for the research vessel tour are priced at $15 per person, ensuring an affordable and unforgettable evening of intergalactic fun.

Before setting sail on our intergalactic adventure, families are encouraged to visit the Port of Redwood City starting at 6:00 pm for additional Star Wars-themed fun! Immerse yourself in the galaxy far, far away with special activities, entertainment, and delicious treats from the food trucks at the Port.
Please note that while families are welcome to enjoy the festivities at the Port, we recommend giving yourselves plenty of time to make your way to the Marine Science Institute Pier before the ship boards at 7:15 pm.
