Lesson Series:
Intro to Lindy Hop: Minta Dolph and Chris Adams
The "Roaring 20's" was just the beginning of the swing era craze. Attracted by the up-tempo and dynamic, improvised nature of jazz, people in the 30s and 40s brought the music to life through the new "Lindy Hop" partnered style of dancing that carried all the way through World War II to today! Lindy Hop & swing music have led to many of the music and dance genres we see now, but why not go back to the roots? Join Naptown Stomp instructors to get your body moving to the irresistible energy on the dance floor!
Open to everyone - no partner or previous experience required. Whether it's your first time or you're a returning student wanting to improve your fundamentals, we'll teach you how to groove on the social floor!
*This track is for brand new dancers, but also recommended for returning students that want to improve their swingouts and mixing 6ct and 8ct footwork to take the Established track in the future.

Beyond Basics: Introductory to Charleston with Sean Everingham and Various Follows
When the music gets fast, lindy hop is not the only option. Why not try Charleston? This month you'll go through the basics of charleston, a dance that precedes lindy hop! You will learn the basics of charleston, both solo and partnered, along so.e popular moves like hand-to-hand, variation steps, and even tandem!
Previous charleston experience is not necessary, although you do need to know basic Lindy Hop
*Completion of at least two months of Intro Track and Head Instructor approval required to enroll in Beyond BasicsTrack classes.

Exploratory: Solo Jazz & Solo Charleston: Building Your Solo Dance with Danny Beyer
Take your Solo Jazz and Solo Charleston to the next level and unlock a richer partner dancing experience! This class focuses on improvisation, helping you develop a deeper connection with the music and your own body. Whether you're building your Solo Jazz and Charleston foundation or looking to refine your technique, this course will equip you with the tools to confidently explore improvisation. These skills will seamlessly translate to your partner dancing, enhancing your musicality, improvisation, and overall connection on the dance floor.
