We are excited to have Dominic Singh back. We recently featured him during the Sportsman Show where he demonstrated some of his big game flies and deer hair spinning. Dominic is from Ellensburg, Wa. and has been involved in the fly tying and fishing scene for most of his life. He started tying at 7 years old and was mostly self-taught through books and the internet. Dominic grew up demonstrating tying at many fly fishing expositions across the northwest including shows in Boise, Albany, and Livingston and served as a representative for the tying companies Nor-vise and Angler Sport Group. He was a self-employed commercial fly tyer through college, and has sent thousands of flies to fishing destinations worldwide. Now he mostly tie’s for his self and enjoys designing unconventional flies for a wide variety of fish species. Dominic currently works with Mid-Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group, a local nonprofit with a focus on restoring fish habitat and monitoring threatened fish populations and is pursuing a career in field biology.
