This month we welcome Angie Gupta, a University of Minnesota Extension Professor of Forestry, as our featured speaker. Angie specializes in terrestrial invasive species and climate ready woodlands, and she is a founding member of the Minnesota Women’s Woodland Network. Angie will share insights on what “native” means in a changing environment and offer easy ways to help document the world’s biodiversity and support science by using smartphone apps like naturalist. She will also discuss novel ecosystems and how the Plummer House offers a local example of two different novel ecosystems.
