We’re trying something a little different this month… Annnnnd yeah, it’s a bit of a gamble.
I’m calling this a “parking lot meetup”, or maybe more like a renegade meetup. Because why not?
Ranch 111 (One Eleven Ranch Pavilion is the official name)
2121 E Brand Rd, Garland, TX 75044
There’s a pavilion on-site that should be open and not in use, but it’s not guaranteed. If it works out, we’ll have a solid shaded spot to set up and hang out. There should be plenty of lighting for when the sun sets.
If not, no big deal, we’ve still got the parking lot. Plus, it’s right by Firewheel, so there are plenty of food spots nearby if people want to grab something after.
This will be a laid-back hangout + buy/sell/trade event. Bring your games, consoles, collectibles, computer stuff, toys, comics, VHS, LaserDiscs, hell, even records (good ones), any and everything nerd/geek related or just show up to chill and talk shop with other likeminded people.
You ABSOLUTELY DO NOT need to buy or sell anything to come, we are NOT a store. The FIRST priority is COMMUNITY over stuff. The meetups are for community building and growth.
If someone wants to bring a speaker for some background music, even better. Just keep it chill and meetup-friendly. (No rap).
If this works out, it could open the door to bigger, more flexible meetups going forward. So come out, support it, and let’s build something cool together.
