Bring in the May with us during a special outdoor family-friendly event celebrating the ancient May Day festival and the coming of spring. We bid a fond farewell to the dark winter months and welcome in the new growth and magic of the spring and summer. We’ll have Jai Jay leading our dance around the Maypole and invite you to join us if you wish! There will be activity tables where you can create your own flower crown to wear, and plant some seeds to take home to your windowsill or garden. All ages welcome.
Its traditional to wear white or light colored clothing for May Day, but we invite you to wear whatever magical clothing strikes your fancy!
Maypole dance at 1:00 pm.
Anna’s Café coffee and espresso cart will be serving up delicious beverages during the event.
Event will take place on the lawn facing Woodward Heights located at 1220 Woodward Heights in Ferndale, MI, 48220, 12:00-3:00 pm.
This is a drop-in community event, no reservation required. Donation-based, give what you can. Funds will go toward future Wheel of the Year/seasonal community events.
