May Day 2024 Celebration

Welcome to the Cincinnati Interfaith Workers Center- 2024 May Day Brunch Celebration!

Did you know that over the last year, more 1,200 Cincinnati area workers won union rights on the job. Employees said “union yes” at seven local jobsites?

The labor movement is growing every day – and your Workers Center is doing its part locally to spur that growth. Every year on May 1st we gather to uplift the working class leadership that makes this growth possible. From the labor movement and the broader community that enriches this city but often goes unrecognized. May Day is our annual celebration ensuring that we honor ALL those who make a difference.

Join us this year at the Woodward Theater to hear from local labor leaders and every day workers. They’ll share their stories of what it means to be part of today’s labor movement.

This year’s May Day awards will be celebrating the emerging leaders from so many industries – nursing, construction, teaching, manufacturing, and transit.

Our mandate has always been to organize with unorganized workers, building power among those most vulnerable immigrant and low workers. Why? To grow the worker movement one new member at a time. Your support makes that possible. Will you join us?
