About this Event
WE Open Shop is committed to building an inviting shop community for women, trans and non-binary makers in Kansas City. We Open Shop is an artist-run nonprofit organization. We are three professional women who are skilled artists, builders, and makers.
Our collective recognized a need for a truly inclusive shop catering to underserved people; specifically women, trans, and nonbinary makers.
We Open Shop (WOS) meets attendees at any stage they are at during their creative journey from ideation to fabrication.
We are dedicated to providing proper safety techniques, as well as providing an accessible shop that is a brave space for all.
To help us prepare you for your project, please answer the questions through Eventbrite.
**Due to a high number of No Shows. Tickets are nonrefundable without a 7 day email notice prior to the day of Open Shop.
*At this time, WOS is not able to provide building materials for your project.
** Please take into consideration that any medications you may be taking that can impair your judgment while using machinery, that may put you and other attendees at risk.
