another lise/morc collaboration. proud to present on thursday november 5th at Mari's Offspace in Ghent:
- CJA (nz, european debut)
- Goldscammer (be, lp presentation)
- Maxine Funke (nz, european debut)
--- Maxine Funke --- , the grand dame of new zealandian fragile intimistic folk is in europe for the first time. over the past two decades, she shared a series of delicate recordings on lauded albums like 'lace', 'seance' or most recently 'timeless town' (with a new release coming up on knotwilg). don't miss out.
--- Goldscammer --- is Tim Depraetere, pride of Brussels. We're welcoming his first lp on morc: he kept on tweaking the album for years - but decided it's time to let go. and you're welcome to experience it. expect spontaneous sounding lofi guitarballads with a focus on tone. Every polished bit turns into a diamond, and all the grit that's still there is necessary for maximum enjoyment.
--- CJA --- is Clayton Noone - the veteran behind pseudonyms and/or in bands like Strange Girls, Futurians, Armpit... the connection between them: quality downer vibes, noisy and eccentric. suprisingly: his first european show.
Mari's Offspace is located in Ghent. specifically: Zwijnaardesteensweg 178, nearby Gent Sint-Pieters Station. so: easy to get via public transport
--> tickets here: (10/12/15 euro - pay what you can)
