Overview:
Chairside milling materials have evolved since the early years and esthetic full contour anterior restorations are a reality for the chairside CAD/CAM system. Learn a technique that will produce high quality, esthetic restorations that blend and harmonize with the adjacent natural teeth.
This course will cover contouring and texturing techniques for lithium disilicate in the "blue state" as well as highlight the proper burs and tools to achieve natural looking restorations. This program will examine color theory and its practical application for block selection, shading, and characterization.
Topics Covered Will Include:
- Create the contour, anatomy, and surface texture of natural teeth in the anterior region
- Utilize shading and staining techniques to blend with natural dentition
- Discuss colour theory and proper block selection
Instructor:
Gary Osborn, CDT has over 37 years experience as a dental laboratory technician and educator. He received his training as a dental technician in the United States Air Force. Currently, Gary is the Manager of the Technical Services Department and provides education programs on the proper utilization of Ivoclar technical products throughout the United States and Canada.
