"Kinship" (Finishing Line Press). the new collection of poetry by the bilingual author, Boston College professor Maxim D. Shrayer, captures with poignancy and passion what it feels like to be a Jewish poet with Soviet roots, living in America during the wars in Ukraine and Israel. "Kinship" is, ultimately, a pained and inspiring meditation on writing between languages and cultures. https://www.finishinglinepress.com/product/kinship-by-maxim-d-shrayer/
Maxim D. Shrayer will be joined by his daughter Tatiana Rebecca Shrayer, a 11th-grader at Brookline Public School. Tatiana will read from and speak about her new collection of poetry, "The Disappearing Bridge" (Liquid Cat Books) The poems collected in Tatiana Rebecca Shrayer’s The Disappearing Bridge focus on mysteries of the universe and a young person’s often turbulent emotional life. "The Disappearing Bridge" is a lyrical manifesto of a teenage poet’s quest for a place of her own in today’s polarized social and political landscape.
