About this Event
Join us on a special trip to the Maturango Museum. Docents will lead us in a special class and fun hands-on activities as we learn about the local petroglyphs. We will finish the lesson with a Atlatl Dart Throw!
We encourage families to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value.
Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration.
**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**
May I pay using my funds? This field trip is FREE! Cash donations made directly to the museum are appreciated.
Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages welcome.
Check-in Procedures: Please meet the teacher at the entrance of the Museum at 10:30am.
Is there on-site parking available? Parking is free and there is a large parking lot out front.
Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? No food or drink is allowed in the museum, but there is an outdoor picnic table if families need a place to eat.
Please do not bring food that contains peanuts to any Heartland event.
