Can you tell fact from fiction? π€City of Darwin Libraries is proud to host The Matter of Facts Workshop and Launch Event, in collaboration with the ABC, the Australian Library and Information Association, and Western Sydney University. π
Inspired by the new ABC 3-part documentary series The Matter of Facts, hosted by former war correspondent Hamish Macdonald, this free 2-hour workshop will give you real-world tools to identify and challenge false information in your everyday life.
We are all navigating a digital ecosystem where truth and lies can be indistinguishable, and where information is created at scale to change what we believe, how we behave, and who we vote for. Sound familiar? This workshop is for you. π‘
Join City of Darwin library staff and an ABC journalist for a presentation and interactive discussions, and leave with a set of resources to continue exploring at home.
π Tuesday 26 May π 10:00 am to 12:00 pm π Casuarina Library Meeting Room π° Free, all welcome
