Do you find yourself not going out as much because you worry about falling? A Matter of Balance has proven to be effective in the management of falls. The Senior Hub has partnered with OSU Extension and the Family YMCA of Lancaster & Fairfield County to offer this FREE 8-week series to those 60 and older.A Matter of Balance will help you:
-Engage in a range of motion exercises that increase strength and balance - View falls and fear of falling as controllable - Overcome your fear of falling - Recognize fall risk factors - Set realistic goals for increasing activity - Excecises are low impact, seated, and participants can use a chair to help with balance.
There is no cost for the program but registration is required. Call 740-653-5419 to register by August 27th.
