In addition to purchasing a ticket for the event, we kindly request that each person bring 1 LB of non-perishable food that will be donated to the New Milford Social Services. We thank you in advance for your generous support of our community.
About Matt Sucich:
Matt Sucich writes songs mostly with a pen and sings them always with his mouth. His last name is pronounced Sue.Sitch.
“Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself” is the follow up to Matt’s 2019 LP, “Thousand Dollar Dinners” and although inarguably steeped in the events of the past year, is not what some might refer to as a “quarantine record.” Tracked over the summer of 2020 at The Creamery Studio in Brooklyn, NY, with co-producer and engineer, Jeff Fettig, and with overdubs from long-time collaborators, friends, and bandmates (including a special appearance from Adam Duritz of Counting Crows,) “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself” finds Sucich’s lyrics front-and-center in a mostly hushed production. From the storytelling of the opening track “Make Peace,” to the vignettes of album closer, “New Normal,” Sucich tells personal stories in a universal light.
In addition to countless NYC performances, Matt has appeared at Willie Nelson’s Heartbreaker Banquet in Luck, TX, Firefly Music Festival in Dover, DE, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN and Newport Folk Festival in Newport, RI. Matt has also shared the stage with The Lone Bellow, Lucius, Rachael Yamagata, Lake Street Dive, Levon Helm and many others.
It’s possible you’ve heard Matt Sucich on the radio on New York’s WFUV, Philadelphia’s WXPN, San Francisco’s KFOG, and Nashville’s Lightning 100. Or maybe Matt’s 2016 single “Montauk,” a favorite of the ever mysterious Spotify algorithm, came up on your weekly playlist…or maybe not. Either way you’re here now, so thanks. See you soon.

About Troy Millette
Fairfax, VT singer/songwriter Troy Millette has a knack for strumming tales that are “sure to strike a chord with fans of storytelling Americana troubadours such as [Jason] Isbell and the radio-friendly stylings of Kip Moore,” according to Seven Days Magazine. On the back of heartfelt original songs, witty onstage banter, and imaginative covers, Millette has been instilling heart, humor, and humility into the New England music scene both as a solo performer and front-person of the full-band project “Troy Millette & the Fire Below” since 2010.
His debut EP “Living With A Ghost” was released in 2019 and received praise from media outlets such as Seven Days, County Tracks, and the Bootleggers Beware Blog.
