Matt McCusker is a comedian, novelist, and actor from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Affectionately known as “The Shaman,” Matt is the co-host of the industry-changing cult comedy show Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast with Shane Gillis. The show is the number one Patreon podcast in the world, dominating the charts with over 5.5 million downloads each month and consistently ranking in the Top 15 on Spotify’s Comedy Charts.McCusker’s highly-anticipated debut Netflix special, A Humble Offering, premiered in October 2025, quickly hitting the Top 10.
As an actor, McCusker has played scene-stealing roles in series including the record-breaking Netflix sitcom Tires and the hit web series Gilly & Keeves. In August 2025, McCusker launched his first animated project with the debut short, The Papa John Paradox. Written, produced, and starring McCusker, five shorts in the series have so far been released, directed by Big Mouth's Frank Gidlewski.
