Vi er veldig glade for å få besøk av selveste Samer AbdelJaber som er regionsdirektør for Midtøsten, Nord-Afrika og Øst-Europa i FNs World Food Programme (WFP). Han vil fortelle oss om:
- Status for den globale matsikkerhetssituasjonen i verden.
- Situasjonen i Midtøsten, og hvordan stenging av Hormuzstredet kan påvirke matsikkerhet.
- Dagens realitet i Palestina, og utfordringene knyttet til å levere humanitær bistand og mat i konfliktområder.

Join us for a short talk on the current state of global food security, with a particular focus on the Middle East and Palestine 🇵🇸
We are very pleased to welcome Samer AbdelJaber, Regional Director for the Middle East, Northern Africa and Eastern Europe at the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). He will share insights into:
- The current state of global food security and the factors driving food insecurity around the world.
- The situation in the Middle East, including how closure of Hormuz Strait could affect food security.
- The reality in Palestine, and the challenges of delivering humanitarian assistance and food in conflict-affected areas.
This is an opportunity to hear directly from a key actor in the international effort to address food security and humanitarian needs, and to ask questions and discuss the connection between conflict and food security 🌍
The event will be held in English, ww will provide light refreshments.
