Welcome to Rummu: an environment that is both mysterious and exciting as well as scary and thought-provoking. This place has captivated locals and visitors for many years with its unique landscape and atmospheric abandoned prison complex! The Murru prison hike is very special in our hike series in that a significant part of the hike is spent walking through the interior of the former correctional facility. We will share stories of former prison life and the events that happened there. On top of that, we will also briefly discuss the entire development history of the Rummu settlement and the present day. No tour of Rummu is complete without a visit to the top of the famous ash hill so we will make sure to include this famous spot. Murru prison tour is a real treat for those who want to experience apocalyptic views, get to know the former prison life and feel the eerie magic of abandoned buildings!The hike takes place in full daylight.
