Join us at Soldiers Memorial Military Museum for a viewing of "Oppenheimer", nominated for 13 Academy Awards and winner of 7, including best picture. J Robert Oppenheimer played an integral role in developing the first atomic bomb. Throughout the project, Oppenheimer struggled to justify a creation that came to cause so much damage, questioning whether he owes it to scientific discovery to create something capable of so much power. Soldiers Memorial Director Mark Sundlov will introduce the film and briefly explain St. Louis's connection to the Manhattan Project. (This film is rated R for some sexuality, nudity, and language.)
