The children are rising up—don’t miss this Broadway Junior adaptation of the Tony Award-winning hit! Matilda JR. is a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination. This story of a girl who dreams of a better life—and inspires her peers to stand up for themselves—will have you cheering for the "revolting children" as they teach the grown-ups a lesson or two.
Matilda Wormwood, armed with astonishing wit, intelligence, and special powers, is ready to take on the world! Despite being unloved by her cruel parents, she finds kindness in Miss Honey, her schoolteacher. But Matilda’s school life is far from easy with the fearsome Miss Trunchbull ruling with an iron fist. With courage and cleverness, Matilda might just be the hero her classmates need.
Featuring 39 talented area youth involved in the production both on the stage and behind the scenes, from towns across the region, including Oneonta, Delhi, Walton, Hartwick, Unadilla, Cooperstown, and more.
