Math Circles Trial Class - UBC (Sept 10, 11am)

Join our experts at Math Potentials for a Math Circles trial class that will show you a side of math you've never seen before! The class is designed to give you an idea of what our Math Circles classes are like. We have chosen a topic that is suitable for students of all ages to show the style of our classes.

Math Circles enrichment program is designed by experts and taught by subject-specialists to

1. Focus on conceptual learning: By learning conceptually instead through memorization, students develop important creative and logical thinking skills.
2. Build confidence across all ages and skill levels: Students develop confidence in their mathematical abilities: "If I can do difficult math, I can do anything."
3. Extend knowledge compared to school: Our programs don't duplicate the BC school curriculum; instead, they broaden and deepen it by the coherent treatment of topics and focuses on mastery learning.
4. Prepare for university and beyond: Get equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to bridge the gap between high school and university math and science.

We encourage students to attend if they are interested in math and want to expand their knowledge and skills. Tickets are needed for students and parents. Parents can sit in on the class. Please bring a pencil/eraser (no calculators).
