Matariki Light up the Waterways

Join us on Friday 10 July for Mānawatia a Matariki: Light Up the Waterways.
Step into a magical evening of light, storytelling, and reflection as we celebrate Matariki through this year's theme, Ururangi - the star connected to the winds.
As you journey through the experience, you'll follow a specially curated storyline inspired by Ururangi and the natural elements that shape our world. Designed as a self-guided experience, visitors can explore at their own pace, taking time to reflect, connect with whānau and friends, and appreciate the creativity and kaupapa woven throughout the trail.
To reduce potential congestion, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all attendees, entry is managed through timed ticket sessions. This is a free community event, however attendees will have the opportunity to make a koha donation when booking their tickets.
As a not-for-profit community event, all koha received will help support the future delivery and growth of this event, ensuring it can continue to be enjoyed by the community for years to come.
