Te Roopu Taiao o Ngāti Whakatere Trust warmly invites you to join us for Matariki ki Otāuru (Shannon).
Our celebration begins at 10am with karakia led by Ngāti Whakatere, setting the tone for a special day of reflection, connection, and community. Enjoy live music, market stalls and a range of games and activities for tamariki. A limited number of hāngī will be served from 1pm, available until they run out, with kai provided as part of this shared celebration.
Come together with whānau and the wider community as we mark the Matariki public holiday in Otāuru and celebrate the Māori New Year.
